The 2011 MV Agusta F3

2011 MV Agusta F3 marks the first appearance of what would become the brand's middleweight sportbike, slotting in below the flagship F4 as MV's answer to the competitive 600-750cc supersport class. This is a machine built for riders who want a proper three-cylinder engine note and razor-sharp handling over raw straight-line numbers. The triple configuration gives it a different character than the inline-fours it competes against, favoring a revvy, aggressive delivery that rewards riders who like to work the gearbox on a twisty road rather than just point and shoot. Owning one means accepting some quirks that come with a low-volume Italian sportbike, but the payoff is a bike that feels genuinely different from mass-market rivals. As a first-year model, the 2011 MV Agusta F3 also saw the debut of the F3 Oro limited edition, a 200-unit run introduced in December 2011 ahead of the standard model's wider launch in January 2012. Buyers today tend to be experienced sportbike riders stepping up from Japanese 600s who want exclusivity and mechanical character, along with early-adopter collectors drawn to the Oro's rarity and its place as the model line's starting point.
