The 2017 Aprilia Shiver 750 ABS

2017 Aprilia Shiver 750 ABS sits in the middle of Aprilia's naked bike range, above the smaller Dorsoduro-adjacent models and firmly in the mid-displacement class riders reach for once a 600cc four-cylinder feels either buzzy or boring. The 90-degree V-twin gives this bike its personality: a broad, usable spread of torque low in the rev range that makes it easy to ride hard through a canyon or just commute without constant gear-hunting. It's a bike built for real roads rather than track days, with a chassis that rewards a relaxed, confident riding style over outright aggression. Ownership tends to be straightforward, with ABS standard and a mechanical layout that's held up well over the years. The 2017 model carried over without significant mechanical changes from the prior year — buyers comparing it to a 2016 example should focus on mileage, service history, and condition rather than spec differences. This was also the final year of production, closing out the Shiver 750's run. Buyers tend to be experienced riders downsizing from bigger, more demanding bikes, or Aprilia loyalists who want V-twin character without Superbike pricing. Collector interest remains modest but present among V-twin enthusiasts.
